TMI Authorized Education Providers are training and consulting organizations formally appointed by the Talent Management Institute to support the delivery of certification exam preparation programs aligned with TMI’s Talent Management standards and competency frameworks.

Authorized Education Providers contribute to the professional development of HR leaders by delivering structured, standards-aligned learning experiences that reflect the capabilities and expectations defined by TMI across its certification pathways. Appointment as an Authorized Education Provider reflects TMI’s confidence in an organization’s instructional capability and its alignment with the intent, rigor, and professional orientation of TMI’s standards.

Scope of Authorization

Authorized Education Providers are approved to design and deliver structured exam-preparation programs mapped to TMI’s published certification requirements.

Within this scope, providers support candidate readiness through instructional delivery while maintaining alignment with TMI’s competency expectations and learning outcomes. Certification assessment, examination administration, and credential issuance remain the responsibility of the Talent Management Institute. Authorized Education Providers focus exclusively on preparation and instructional delivery within the defined scope. TMI maintains oversight of authorized activities to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across providers and regions.

TMI Authorized Education Providers deliver exam-preparation programs aligned with TMI’s professional Talent Management certifications. These certifications are structured to reflect progressive capability development across career stages and areas of responsibility within the talent profession. Each certification is grounded in defined competency expectations and is designed to assess applied knowledge, professional judgment, and practical understanding of Talent Management principles.

Authorized Education Providers support preparation for the following certifications:

  • Talent Management Practitioner

    Talent Management Practitioner (TMP™)

    The TMP™ certification is designed for early-to mid-career HR and talent professionals seeking a structured foundation in Talent Management concepts, frameworks, and practices aligned with organizational needs.

  • Senior Talent Management Practitioner

    Senior Talent Management Practitioner (STMP™)

    The STMP™ certification is intended for experienced professionals with responsibility for leading or shaping Talent Management initiatives. It emphasizes strategic application, integration across talent domains, and decision-making at a senior level.

  • Global Talent Management Leader

    Global Talent Management Leader (GTML™)

Organizations that typically meet the eligibility profile include:

  • HR consultancies and talent advisory firms with established learning delivery capabilities
  • Corporate learning and leadership academies supporting internal talent development initiatives
  • Business schools and academic units delivering professional or continuing education in human resources or management

Eligible organizations may integrate TMI-aligned certification exam-preparation programs into their existing offerings, subject to the Authorized Education Provider appointment process.

The Appointment Process

The appointment of TMI Authorized Education Providers follows a structured process designed to ensure alignment with TMI’s Talent Management standards while enabling organizations to onboard efficiently and begin delivery with clarity.

The process typically includes the following stages:

    Expression of Interest

    Organizations share an overview of their learning offerings, delivery model, and interest in supporting TMI-aligned certification preparation.

    Alignment Review

    TMI conducts a review to ensure alignment with the intent of its Talent Management standards and the scope of certification exam-preparation delivery.

    Appointment and Confirmation

    Once alignment is established, organizations are formally appointed as TMI Authorized Education Providers and provided with appointment confirmation and next-step guidance.

    Onboarding and Enablement

    Authorized Education Providers are onboarded into the TMI ecosystem and provided with relevant guidance, resources, and program information to support delivery.
